Health Insurance Associates Inc, located in Brookfield, WI, is a small family owned company looking to grow by adding a full time health insurance agent.  This is a sales position as well as account management, so you must be driven, self motivated, goal oriented, possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be challenged by the opportunity to grow your own block of business, as well as the company as a whole. 

 

 

About You

​

  • Current health insurance agent/broker OR 2+ years of health insurance industry experience with a desire to transition into sales

  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines

  • Efficient at multi-tasking and prioritizing in a fast paced environment

  • Work well independently or with a team

  • Good Listening skills and ability to evaluate clients’ needs efficiently

  • Dynamic communication and presentation skills

  • Aptitude for rules and regulations

  • Tech Savvy - computers, cell phone apps, internet navigation, google apps

  • Health, Life, and AD&D Insurance License - or ability to obtain one within 6 months

  • Means to conduct local travel required

What You’ll be Doing

​

As a health insurance agent at HIA, your main focus will be employee benefits for small businesses with 2-99 employees.  You will generate new leads, acquire new clients, and maintain your growing block of business in order to meet established fiscal year production goals.  This will require implementing self-directed marketing plans, cold calling, scheduling client appointments, putting together proposals, and conducting formal client presentations.  To help with these responsibilities, HIA’s professional service team will provide you with support for new business sales as well as future renewals.
