The link below will take you to the quoting page for all the products above.  Enter your personal information and select "View Plans".  All the available plan types will be shown in tabs across the top.  If you are looking for short term medical coverage, this is the first page that is shown, and the plan we recommend is the "Short Term Medical Plus Select A."  Click on "Details" for any plan that says "Short Term Medical Plus Select A," which will take you to the quote.  You will be able to modify the plan within the quote.  The set up we recommend is either the $2500 or $5000 deductible, 80% coinsurance, the $2000 out of pocket maximum, and the single payment.  The reason we recommend that plan and those deductibles are that if you go higher in benefit, the additional price outweighs the additional coverage, and if you go lower, you don't save enough to justify the loss in benefit.  These two deductibles account for 100% of our short term plans placed.  Also, the single premium payment is a lump sum for the whole term, and is about 25% less expensive than the monthly payment.

Short Term Medical - Gap insurance for 30-270 days.
Click the link below, enter your zip code and then enter your family info.  If you are looking for 90 days or less, select single payment.  If you are looking for more than 90 days, select monthly, more than 90 days, and then the start date you want.  There are several plan options available.  We would not recommend something with less than a $500,000 max.  In fact, we wouldn’t be comfortable with anything less than $1,000,000, but you pick what you are most comfortable with and can afford.  Any coverage is better than no coverage.
These are the three plans that I would consider:
$5000 deductible - 20% coinsurance - $3000 max - $1,000,000 total
$2500 deductible - 20% coinsurance - $3000 max - $1,000,000 total
$1000 deductible - 20% coinsurance - $3000 max - $1,000,000 total
With this company, you go through underwriting once at the beginning, and then you have to reapply every 90 days, but with no underwriting.  They will automatically approve you regardless of health conditions for up to 3 terms.  So for the last one of 2018, you will have to make sure it ends on 1/1/19.  Since legally it’s a new policy every 90 days, all your benefits start over every 90 days as well.  That means your deductibles and max out of pockets all start over at $0.

Dental Insurance
If you’re looking for a full coverage plan, the Enhanced plan is the one you want to look at.  It matches up fairly close with a typical employer sponsored plan.  You will have coverage right away for your preventive care and fillings, but one thing you have to be aware of is that there is a 12 month waiting period for major services if you do not have prior coverage.  On the quote it will show which services are subject to the waiting period.  Just so there is no confusion, this is straight from the brochure:  “Any waiting periods will be waived for you if you were covered under another comprehensive dental-insurance plan for at least 12 months before you enrolled in this plan – but only if there was no more than a 63-day gap between your previous plan and this plan. (You may have to supply information about your previous plan to make sure you qualify for waived waiting periods.)”
If you’re looking for more of a preventive care only plan, I would look at the Basic plan.  They cover fillings after a 6 month waiting period, cleanings, x-rays, and your other basic preventive services, but nothing more major.  You can sign up right through the quote.

These are two separate companies that offer almost identical plans.  In fact, depending on your area, HTH will even direct you to the GeoBlue website for quotes.  If you're picking a plan that is offered by both companies, quote both companies, because the prices may be different.  One popular item that HTH has that GeoBlue does not is trip protection that will pay out a benefit if the trip is canceled.  In most situations, the GeoBlue Voyager Choice, HTH Travel medical, or the HTH Trip Protection Plan will be the one for you.  The others are more specialty plans.
