Individual Under 65

Medical

As an individual, you’re most likely responsible not only for yourself, but also for the well being of your family. In order to keep yourself and those you care about most healthy and happy, you’ll want to ensure that you have the proper Health Insurance plan that can cover your every need and keep you protected financially.

With the cost of healthcare on the rise, you can’t afford to take any chances. At Health Insurance Associates, Inc., we offer Individual and Family Health Insurance plans to those who do not receive health benefit packages from their current employer, or are either self-employed, unemployed, or a student.

Since each insurance option differs in cost and benefits, it’s important to discuss your unique needs with an insurance expert who can keep you, your spouse, and your children covered under the right plan at a price you can afford.  Learn more...

Travel Insurance

Typically, domestic health insurance does not provide coverage for overseas medical emergencies and international travelers are unable to obtain this type of protection after they are outside of their home country.

Additionally, most traditional health insurance does not provide coverage for expenses for an emergency medical evacuation, medical reunion, return of mortal remains, trip interruption or loss of checked luggage.

Short Term Medical

Short term coverage is great for people between jobs, recent graduates, children aging off their parents plan, or people who want to pick up coverage mid year.  These types of policies can be purchased in 30-360 day periods, and are typically much cheaper than traditional insurance.

The drawback to short term medical is that it does require medical underwriting, which means you aren't guaranteed to be accepted.  They also do not cover pre-existing conditions, mental health, maternity, or preventive benefits.  They are meant to cover gaps in insurance, not to be permanent policies.  They will cover what happens during the policy, to get you from point A to point B.

Disability

When it comes to protecting your assets, one of the most important things you can insure isn’t a material object like your car or home – it’s your ability to work and earn a living. You depend on your income to pay bills, put food on the table, and provide for your family, but if you get sick or injured and can’t work, you’ll need to be protected in order to maintain your standard of living.

With Disability Insurance you can continue to pay your bills and keep you and your family from going into serious debt. If you can’t work as a result of injury or other illness, a Disability Insurance policy will pay 50-70% of your income.

Dependent Life

The death of a child can be one of the hardest things in life to imagine let alone go through.  The last thing anyone wants to think about in this situation is how they are going to pay for final expenses.  Dependent life policies can provide ease of mind in this type of a situation so you can focus on what's important.  These policies can be purchased in several different amounts and terms.

Whole life policies are also available for purchase on dependents which would continue indefinitely, as well as provide a cash out value as the policy matures.

Long Term Care

At least 70% of people over 65 will need long term care at some point in their lives.  Long term care may help pay for the cost of care for those who need help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting, continence, and eating. It can include a broad range of services, provided in any setting outside of a hospital such as a home, assisted living facility, or nursing facility.  Planning for these costs ahead of time brings you comfort since Medicare and health insurance don’t usually cover long term care expenses. Your life is unique to you and we know that. We will give you plenty of options and help you customize your coverage for your needs.
